I returned back up north on Wednesday after a whirlwind few weeks. After a visit to Sweden, Christmas, Hong Kong and then Home London I was in need of a rest so I am just getting around to sorting out all of my photos. I plan to share some of my Hong Kong snaps as well as write about some of the amazing designers I came across whilst exhibiting at Home over the next few weeks.
I felt incredibly lucky to be exhibiting at Home, after winning a bursary competition just before Christmas. The opportunity was presented by Katie Treggiden of fab design blog Confessions of a Design Geek. I was amongst 4 other designers shortlisted for the prize, which I ended up winning via an online poll. All of the shortlisted companies were very different and it was an honour to exhibit with such talented and nice people. The shortlisted designers had a stand adjacent to mine which was great and we all had a good few days. I’ll be writing a separate post about them tomorrow. As well as winning the stand which was amazing in itself, I also got some advice and mentoring from some industry professionals. Thank you to Keith and Mark from Mini Moderns, Jo Robinson from HAM, David from Seen PR, Patricia from The Design Trust and Yeshen Venema, who very kindly offered a free product photoshoot for the winner. I am looking forward to heading to London again with my products on Friday to have them professionally photographed. There are some photos of my stand below.

Great work Jess! Looking forward to the shoot!
